Substance Use Support

Substance Use Support

Substance use among youth can have profound and lasting effects on their well-being and future outcomes. Research consistently shows that early initiation of substance use can lead to a range of negative consequences, including academic difficulties, impaired cognitive function, mental health disorders, and increased risk of addiction later in life. At Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District, we recognize the harmful impact of substance use on our youth and our community.

Our district is committed to taking proactive measures to prevent substance use among our students. We understand that addressing this issue requires a comprehensive approach that considers the physical, emotional, and social aspects of our students' lives. Therefore, we advocate for treating the child as a whole by implementing evidence-based practices and curriculum that promote awareness and education about the dangers of substance use.

Furthermore, we recognize the importance of collaborating with outside agencies that specialize in supporting youth who may be struggling with substance use. By forming partnerships with these organizations, we can ensure that our students have access to the resources and support they need to overcome challenges and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District is committed to preventing substance use among our youth by providing comprehensive education, support, and resources. We believe that by taking a proactive stance and addressing this issue head-on, we can empower our students to make healthy choices and achieve their full potential.
